From Charles Clover.

Fast approaching is the theatrical release of The End of the Line, the documentary feature based on his book about the global problem of over-fishing, with screenings at more than 50 cinemas on June 8, World Oceans Day.

The guys from COAST have agreed to introduce & do a Q&A session for the film at its Glasgow premier in Glasgow on June the 8th

Elsewhere things are taking shape with screenings, festivals and events planned in Canada, the US, and the Netherlands, where big things are planned on June 8. They’ll keep updating the screenings schedules on their website and suggest anyone contacts them if they have suggestions for arranging other screenings.

Ted Danson, the TV star and oceans campaigner, has recorded a voiceover for The End of the Line since its world premiere in Sundance this year. See his endorsement of the film. The supermarket Waitrose is supporting the film’s release, and customers should be seeing a lot more about the movie in local stores soon.

According to the film. the state of our oceans is pretty dire, with fish stocks due to collapse almost everywhere some time around the middle of this century, but it’s not too late. There are things that can be done to reverse the damage.
