Consultation on the Firth of Clyde Biosecurity Plan

| November 23, 2011

Biosecurity means taking steps to make sure that good practices are in place to reduce and minimise the risk of spreading invasive non-native species, i.e species that have been transported outside their natural range and that damage our environment, the economy, our health and the way we live.

The Firth of Clyde Forum would welcome responses on a Biosecurity Plan they have produced in collaboration with various stakeholders as a guiding framework to prevent the introduction of new invasive non-native species to the Firth of Clyde and to effectively manage existing invasive non-native species.
