Outreach

Throughout the weekend of the Fish Smart Summer Angling Festival SSACN and the SSTP will be running a wide range of activities for children and families.

These will include a number of outdoor activities including marine environment related games and puzzles as well as drop netting for crabs, small fish and other marine creatures.

There will also be the opportunity for instruction in the basics of sea angling for those who want to get more involved.

NB. All activities are suitable for children aged 5 and over. Parents are asked to supervise their children at all times.

10am to 4pm Drop Netting and Touch Tanks

11am to 12pm Marine Board Games (with prizes)

11am to 12pm Shark Sizes Game

12pm to 1pm – Marine Board Games (with prizes)

1pm to 2pm – Beach Scavenger Hunt

2pm to 3pm- Beach Scavenger Hunt 

2.30pm to 4pm – Rock Pooling (Friday)

3.30pm to 5pm – Rock Pooling (Saturday)

3pm to 4pm- Marine Board Games (with prizes)

4pm to 5pm- Marine Board Games (with prizes)

From 6pm to 8pm we will be running a range of these activities at Sands of Luce Caravan Park.

Sunday the 5th June (Sands of Luce Caravan Park)

10am to 1pm – Sea Angling taster sessions and angling games.

1pm to 2pm – Sands of Luce Beach Clean (Local council have provided bags, gloves and litter pickers).
