Outreach Beach Clean

| September 7, 2015

The Greenock/Fintastic Outreach Hub beach clean was an absolute success !

We had 18 volunteers on the day (some of whom shown above) and between us we collected 20 bags of rubbish plus tyres, gas bottles, plastic pipes etc (and LOTS of wet wipes) – Thanks go to the staff from Inverclyde Council who came along and gathered it all up.

Local support for our Events has proved to be terrific.

We would obviously like to thank all those who turned up - the ranger station in Greenock who have agreed to advertise any future SSACN Outreach events for us at their centre;  Inverclyde Council who have told us we will have access to as many bin bags, gloves, litter pickers etc as we need for future cleans as they were impressed with our work; and, last but not least, the Inverclyde Trust, who did us a great deal on volunteer T-shirt printing so that everyone who took part could have one – including Bruce the cocker spaniel, SSACN Outreach’s Beach Clean mascot.
