Public talk at Oban July 9th

| July 2, 2014

ocean-explorer-centre_thumb[1]SSACN is pleased to announce we will be giving a public lecture at the Ocean Explorer Centre just outside Oban  on Wednesday the 9th of July at 11am.

During the 45 minute session we will talk about the work we do at the Scottish Shark Tagging Programme and the integral role of volunteers anglers play on the conservation of Scottish Sharks.

But most importantly we hope to introduce the audience the the amazing world of sharks in Scottish waters starting simply with just how many difference species we actually have here…you may be surprised!!

So, please  do some along and ask some questions. In addition the Centre is home to the UK’s oldest oceanographic institution and has an amazing visitor centre where you can explore the marine world through their interactive exhibits and cinema. You can also grab a lovely cup of coffee in the cafe. Admission charges do apply but there are family tickets available – 2 adults + 2 children is just £14.

For more information about the centre please visit their website at: http://www.oceanexplorercentre.org/
