Scottish West Coast Public MPA Meetings

| November 26, 2014

saltire_thumb.jpgAs you may or may not be aware, a several new Marine Protected Areas (MPA’s) have recently been accepted. SSACN recently attended a consultation where management options were proposed for all the west coast MPA’s in addition to some suggested management changes for a few Special Areas of Conservation (SAC’s).

We are now at the public consultation stage which means that anyone can have their say about the proposed management options for these MPA’s and SAC’s. There will be several public meetings over the coming weeks and it goes without saying that we encourage any and all of you to attend in order to have your say and understand how these changes might affect you and Scotland’s marine landscape.

A link to the times, dates and locations of the meetings is here.
