Cecilia Pinto who is looking at computer modelling of skate populations for her PhD and Francis Neat, a Marine Scotland scientist were out looking to support her work by tagging skate in the Sound of Jura when Chechilia recaptured a SSTP tagged fish.

On logging the data with us we were able to inform her that not only had the skate been caught 6 days previously but it was also her 8th appearance – this leaves her one appearance behind ‘YO-YO’, our all time record holder.
