Solway World Ocean Week

Thank you to you to everyone who help make World Oceans Day 2008 such a success. On the back of that, we are now extending World Oceans day into an entire week (WOW) which should make for a great week of walks, talks and activities promoting D&G’s beautiful marine environment.
WOW 2009 will finish with a Celebration at Port William on Sunday June 14th. . The format of the day will be similar to last year but with the addition of some new faces, talks and displays. We are also hoping to have a wee bit more space than last year.
There is a provisional and rapidly expanding time table of events for WOW on our web site which can be found here. If you have any ideas for Solway marine themed events (guided walks, open days, demonstrations etc) that you think might be suitable for the WOW ‘umbrella’ of events throughout the week 7-14 June or would like to give a talk or demonstration on the day (as well as or instead of a display) please email them.
