Sharkatag is GO !!

Great News…. The weather in SW Scotland significantly improved after lunchtime today with winds dropping to light and variable in direction.

As a result of the improved conditions a number of Sharkatag boats launched at Portlogan and headed out to try their luck on the popular inshore marks.

The best fish we have heard of is a 63lbs Tope for Graeme Paisley aboard his own boat Paisley Pete although we also have an unconfirmed report that a massive circa 80lbs fish had been landed by an angler fishing aboard Riptide.  Both these fish are great specimens and with tomorrows weather likely to allow fishing on most venues we are hoping that more big fish and some other great catches should be reported.

The current forecast we have for Sunday indicates light to moderate North Westerly winds which should mean relatively calm conditions for anglers launching and fishing the inshore marks around Ardwell Bay and the Isle of Whithorn. Fishing should also be possible around Drummore and Brighouse Bay.

Tight lines to all Shark-a-taggers.
