Wind, Wave and Tidal Energy – information events

windmillThe Scottish Government are holding a number of public events over September 2012, to provide information on planning for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy in Scottish waters, and on the offshore renewables licensing manual.

These events are open to all and will consist of a drop-in information session, followed by a presentation and discussion where Scottish Government officials will provide more detailed information on initial work already undertaken and will outline the next steps in the process.  Officials will be on hand at both sessions to answer questions and hear your views.  Information gathered at these events will feed into on-going planning work for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy, which will be formally consulted on in early 2013.  The events will be held in the following locations:

  • 3 Sept : Edinburgh : Premier Inn, Haymarket : Drop-in session 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Presentation and Discussion 7:00pm – 9:00pm (refreshments from 6:30pm)
  • 4 Sept : Kirkwall: Kirkwall Town hall : Drop-in session 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Presentation and Discussion 7:00pm – 9:00pm (refreshments from 6:30pm)
  • 5 Sept : Aberdeen : Carmelite Hotel, Stirng Street : Drop-in session 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Presentation and Discussion 7:00pm – 9:00pm (refreshments from 6:30pm)
  • 6 Sept : Glasgow : Buchannan Suite, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall : Drop-in session 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Presentation and Discussion 7:00pm – 9:00pm (refreshments from 6:30pm)
  • 7 Sept : Newton Stewart : McMillan Hall : Drop-in session 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Presentation and Discussion 7:00pm – 9:00pm (refreshments from 6:30pm)
  • 27 Sept : Stornoway : Bayhead Bridge Centre : Drop-in session 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Presentation and Discussion 7:00pm – 9:00pm (refreshments from 6:30pm)
  • 28 Sept : Inverness : Glenmoriston Townhouse Hotel, 20 Ness Bank : Drop-in session 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Presentation and Discussion 7:00pm – 9:00pm (refreshments from 6:30pm)
